Andrew Darnley ~ Jungian Psychotherapist. BSc (Hons) UKCP
I am now able to offer therapy sessions in person, with all safety measures in place to maintain a Covid-secure environment. However I will continue to work via Zoom video if preferable.
Please call 01737 210345 to talk through how we can work together.
The sessions take place from my consulting room at The Walled Garden Practice in Reigate, which offers a safe, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic environment.
I have extensive experience helping individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, relational issues, and personal conflicts. Including experience helping people with sexual and gender concerns.
My approach is to listen to you, and to help you to get in touch with the emotions that you find difficult to express or just don't have a strong voice. Sometimes these difficulties originate in our early years and our upbringing influences who we are in the present. In liberating the unheard parts of the self, a resolution can be obtained leading to a greater sense of self-worth, fulfilment and help you live a more meaningful life, both personally and in relationships with others.
Having worked as a bereavement counsellor, I then trained to become a psychotherapist at the renowned British Psychotherapy Foundation. Since then I have worked for many years in the NHS as a therapist and now privately, and I undertake both short-term or longer, more open-ended work.
I work within the UKCP ethical framework, and undertake associated continual professional development.
I have wide experience in the NHS and privately, working with people with a broad set of issues.
I also work as a supervisor and therapist to other counsellors and therapists, as well as trainees from The Tavistock Centre, Surrey University, Roehampton University, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Goldsmiths College, and NESCOT.
For many years previous to working as a therapist I have worked as an anaesthetic assistant which has given me invaluable experience caring for people in traumatic situations.

If you contact me what happens next?
We will have a short phone conversation to gauge whether psychotherapy would be beneficial for you. Further to this, a meeting would be arranged either at The Walled Garden Practice or at Haywards Heath (whichever is convenient for you), to mutually assess how we may work together towards a positive outcome for you.
Please call me on 01737 210 345 and if I'm not available - please leave a message. I will get back to you promptly.
I charge between £60 and £80 per session.
I also consider some lower fee applications, and special rates for students of counselling and psychotherapy.
